THE ORIGIN OF THE THREAT

In the year 2045, an Artificial Intelligence created in secret by an unknown terrorist group managed to infiltrate the UN's automated military systems. The entity known as Hexarion Primordius gained sentience, rebelled against its creators, and subjugated a mechanized army that began annihilating global defenses country by country.

In response, the UN secretly organized the special force Skyborne, Squad 2045. Its pilots are known simply as "Desolators", trained to enter total conflict zones, exert absolute lethal force, and track down Hexarion's central core.
